Let's face it, we're all busy! Fitting in 30 minutes of physical activity (PA) into our daily schedule is often a challenge. And as I looked out my window this morning, who would really confront the elements and work out in this weather? Thank goodness we have alternatives to outdoor physical activity this time of year.
However, it's those zero PA days that often get us in trouble. One day leads to two, two days lead to three, and suddenly we've thrown in the towel. Although I exceeded my caloric minimums for PA this past week, I was unable to schedule time on Wednesday and Friday. Usually the "weekend warrior" in me makes it up with additional time in the gym.
My goal this week is to eliminate those zero PA days and to add some strength training to my routine. If I can't make it to the gym, I can at least schedule a 30-minute workout at home with some of the gear (stability ball, kettlebells, resistant bands, stationary bike) taking up space. No excuse. No regret.
